Alliance Christian Academy is a unique private Christian school that utilizes a university-type schedule and a teacher-parent integrated instructional approach. This approach is designed to produce a high level of academic achievement while enabling strong ties between parents and their children.
We are a University Model School, which allows us to partner with families in the education of our students. The professional classroom instruction of a teacher and the caring at-home mentoring of a parent are combined into a single, unified, college-simulated program.
How It All Began
In the spring of 2004, two couples met to discuss the need for a new alternative with regard to education in their community. Their initial desire was to find a preschool that blended strong Christ-centered, biblical teaching with excellent academics. Thus began the journey, with the support of a local church, and the idea quickly gained traction.
The school founders recognized parents' unique responsibility to be actively involved in the total education of their children. Prayerfully, the founders agreed to work together to start a new school that offered a new and different approach: one that incorporated positive aspects from other educational models while embodying its own special distinctions.
The result of these efforts was the formation of Alliance Christian Academy, a private school with plans to serve students in Pre-K through 12th Grade from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and its surrounding areas.
UMSI
UNIVERSITY MODEL SCHOOLS INTERNATIONAL
A University-Model School International (UMSI) is an educational program that takes the best attributes of home schooling and combines them with the best attributes of traditional, Christian education. In doing so, the UMS preserves and maintains the God-ordained parent-child relationship, while offering students the opportunity to achieve a high degree of academic excellence.
The primary goal of the UMS is to provide quality, cost-effective, college- preparatory education, accomplished in a way that gives parents more time for imparting the faith and values they hold precious. In our University-Model School program, students attend school three days a week and are in their home (the “satellite campus”) two days a week. While in the satellite classroom, students follow teacher-designed assignments under the direct supervision of their parents (the “co-teachers”).
The methodology of education provides excellent academics in preparation for college, while providing the best possible environment for training up competent men and women of exceptional character who will make a positive difference for Christ in the next generation.
