Who We Are

Alliance Christian Academy partners with parents in the discipleship of their children through a classical Christian education that forms genuine followers of Jesus who pursue wisdom, virtue, and excellence for the glory of God.

Our vision—to develop lifelong leaders and learners, loving the Lord—reminds us that education is more than academics; it is the shaping of the whole student. Our approach is rooted in four pillars: we are Christian, keeping Christ at the center of all we teach and do; Classical, training students to think deeply, reason clearly, and communicate well; Collaborative, using the University-Model® to partner with parents as the primary disciplers of their children; and Community-Oriented, building a Christ-centered environment where students, families, and teachers grow together. From the classroom to the crosswalk, we aim to cultivate students who think deeply, live faithfully, and serve joyfully. We believe education should prepare students not only for college or career, but for a life marked by wisdom, virtue, and faithfulness to God.

Alliance Christian Academy provides a partnered approach with families to grow in a balanced Christian way within the framework of developmental stages. ACA continues our dedication to the mission of “Developing Lifelong Leaders & Learners Loving the Lord” through the University Model. To help them grow mentally (wisdom), physically (stature), spiritually (favor with God), and socially (favor with men).

How It All Began

In the spring of 2004, two couples met to discuss the need for a new alternative with regard to education in their community. Their initial desire was to find a preschool that blended strong Christ-centered, biblical teaching with excellent academics. Thus began the journey, with the support of a local church, and the idea quickly gained traction.

The school founders recognized parents' unique responsibility to be actively involved in the total education of their children. Prayerfully, the founders agreed to work together to start a new school that offered a new and different approach: one that incorporated positive aspects from other educational models while embodying its own special distinctions.

The result of these efforts was the formation of Alliance Christian Academy, a private school with plans to serve students in Pre-K through 12th Grade from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and its surrounding areas.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY MODEL SCHOOLS

NAUMS, INC. is an educational program that takes the best attributes of home schooling and combines them with the best attributes of traditional, Christian education. In doing so, the UMS preserves and maintains the God-ordained parent-child relationship, while offering students the opportunity to achieve a high degree of academic excellence.

The primary goal of the UMS is to provide quality, cost-effective, college- preparatory education, accomplished in a way that gives parents more time for imparting the faith and values they hold precious. In our University-Model School program, students attend school three days a week and are in their home (the “satellite campus”) two days a week. While in the satellite classroom, students follow teacher-designed assignments under the direct supervision of their parents (the “co-teachers”).

The methodology of education provides excellent academics in preparation for college, while providing the best possible environment for training competent men and women of exceptional character who will make a positive difference for Christ in the next generation.
